Project Name: Portfolio Tracking SaaS Application Dashboard for Sequoia Capital
Role: Product Designer
Objective: The primary objective of the Portfolio Tracking SaaS Application Dashboard for Sequoia Capital was to create a comprehensive and user-friendly platform that enables efficient management and monitoring of their investment portfolios
Target audience: Mid to Senior Level Employees in a Venture Capital Firm.
This was a speculative design project created without access to Sequoia Capital's actual tools or detailed requirements. The challenge was to conceptualize an intuitive portfolio tracking dashboard for venture capital professionals based on industry research and assumed user needs. Working primarily from intuition and general VC workflow knowledge, I had to make design decisions without screenshots, user feedback, or specific business constraints. The goal was to demonstrate my ability to design a data-rich financial platform that could streamline portfolio management for investment professionals without gaining taking on deep .
To address the needs of Sequoia Capital, I designed a user-friendly dashboard with a left-side navigation system, providing quick access to key features such as portfolio tracking, analytics, and reports. The solution includes detailed performance metrics, risk assessments, and trend analysis to facilitate informed decision-making.
Understanding the target audience was crucial for this project. I developed detailed user personas to represent mid to senior-level employees at Sequoia Capital. These personas guided the design decisions and ensured the solution met the specific needs of the users.

To organize the design process, I created a mind map outlining the key features and functionalities required for the dashboard. This included sections for portfolio summary, KPIs, visualizations, quick actions, investments, and analytics. The mind map helped in visualizing the user flow and structuring the information architecture.
